2009 Nissan GT-R rumored to clock 3.3-second on 0-60
When the Nissan GT-R launched last year, the Nissan stated an official 0-60mph time of 3.5 seconds in the states.
Btw, 0-60mph equals to 0-97km/h (0-62mph = 0-100km/h)
However, the refreshed 2009 GT-R is equipped with a little more power output and a re-programmed launch control system. More from GTRBlog, a Nissan test driver clocked a 3.3-second 0-60 mph run while testing at the automaker's Tochigi track with the VDC enabled.
Nissan has decided not to officially restate the 2009 GT-R's 0-60 time, leaving it to independent testers/reviewers to confirm or deny this new facts. So for the time being, the 3.5-second figure will remained official until an outside source performs a thorough, repeatable and instrumented test.

Malaysia: Cash rebates for vehicles under 2,000cc end next month
The cash rebate system for vehicles under 2,000cc, which was implemented in June last year, will end on 31st March 2009. Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Samad confirmed. He added that the government will not be using this method of subsidising again, because he mentioned that Malaysians prefer subsidised pump prices instead.
BN Government planned to set the value of RON95 petrol at RM1.70 and replaced the RON92 when it is introduced in the middle of this year. However, the pricing for RON 97 is still undecided yet but the price will not be floated in July 2009 but speculated to be priced higher to make way for RON 95.
IMHO: Since no introduction of Cash Rebate System anymore. I don't see any reason to price RON95 at RM1.70 or RON97 at RM1.70. Because it is priced far higher than global oil price. Don't mentioned about subsidising, it is likely another way round.

Satria Neo R3 ClubSport ??
Is quite a disappointment seeing this R3 ClubSport with most of the aftermarket stuff being thrown into be like a track car.
From my experience in automobile industry and as a auto-journalist, the definition of "ClubSport" does not equavalent to a track car model. It is suppose to be some limited edition model with spec-up accessories and more fine tuning (Maybe re-tuned ECU with more hp BUT of course, not a roll cage inside the car).
*~weird... R3 mindset.
Be realistic, no one will buy a car for road use without floor carpet and insulation. Don't brand it as "ClubSport", named it as "RS" will be more practical or... maybe called it "SIC Edition" will be great.

Hot Tips: Detailed Note for every Home Renovation work!
On what I can see lately and feel. I strongly suggesting you to plan on your renovation job scope and budget wisely before kick-off [if you are planning to do so...].
Renovation is like a Project. Every Project needs a good project manager with right skills.
-
Plan your renovation area ahead. For example, if you are renovating the all the bathroom. Do it one at a time. Never do it all at one go, as it causes a lot of inconvenience to the people staying inside the home.
-
MOST IMPORANT: Get all stakeholders to agree with the job scope and time frame.
-
Never let the builder to leave things half way done. Everything is hanging there and never done. This will affect the production and a lot of inconvenience.
Avoidance and Notes:-
-
Never park your car at home as the builder will not avoid and liable for any scratches make to your car.
-
Never leave any expensive belongings at home without supervision.
-
Seal your door gap on each room to avoid dusts if knocking job involved.
-
NEVER LEAVE YOUR KIDS OR ELDERLY AT HOME TO LOOK AFTER THE JOB because it is dusty and hazard. Sound Pollution never sound good too.
-
Cover the floor board with plastic shield or cardboards to avoid scratches to it.
-
Clean up everything after the builder leave the site, thick dusts are never friendly to be clean later after a long period of time. If your car is dusty, rinse with alot of water immediately as the dusts will be the source of swirl line.

Goodyear laying off 5,000 workers
When car sales fall over the past few months, in many cases suppliers feel the pinch even more than the automakers. For Goodyear, the production is down by 19% and losses are beginning to pile up. As results, Goodyear lost $330 million in Q4 2008, compared to a $55M profit in Q4 2007.
Besides, Goodyear plans to cut nearly 5,000 jobs this year too. The job cuts equal almost 7% of the company's work force and follow the elimination of about 4,000 jobs in the second half of last year.
According to research survey, the demand for new tyres is weak as auto sales slump and the market for replacement tyres is also fall due to people are driving less.

BMW 'M' Model Sales Up 50% in 2008
The global slowdown in the auto sector in 2008 had no affect on BMW's M car division that reported a 50 percent sales increase over 2007.
Overall, BMW sold 24,186 'M' vehicles till date. Making 2008 the second best year in the sport division's 30-year-old history after 2002 when it shipped 26,776 units. The driving force behind the M division's success was the new BMW M3, which in its first full year of production managed to sell 18,000 units worldwide.
In the other hand, BMW Malaysia Sdn Bhd is optimistic about its sales performance and business growth this year despite a deepening global credit crunch.
Managing director Geoffrey Briscoe said BMW Malaysia was well positioned to face the challenges ahead even with an economic slowdown. He added that there would be an impact but we feel that the volume-based car segment would be more affected than the premium segment.
