According to our fellow blogging alliance, they received word from their European inside sources that VW will take the wraps off the highly-anticipated 2009 Golf GTI at the Paris motorshow.

Unfortunately there aren't any official information on the GTI’s powertrain options. Most likely, the Golf will get the latest version of the VW Group’s 2.0-liter turbocharged TFSI engine channeled through a 6-speed manual or the cutting-edge DSG dual-clutch semi-automatic transmission.
