Some of the automotive enthusiast may know who Peter Schreyer is. If you don’t know him, let me introduce him to you. He is a German that currently working with KIA as Chief Design Officer and previously designs the Audi TT, A3, A4, A6, and VW New Beetle. Now, the Kia Cadenza, 2010 Kia Sorento, 2011 Kia Optima, 2011 Kia Sportage, Kia Forte, Kia Forte Koup and Kia Soul.
As the results, Kia has been cranking out some really good-looking vehicles. In fact, the Soul hatchback was a contender for the World Design of the Year award. And while we've seen hot new designs for both the Sorento and Sportage, the most significant addition to the Kia portfolio is the revamped 2011 Optima sedan.
The Optima shares its platform and power trains with the upcoming 2011 Sonata, but the design is wholly unique and sleek. It features a new front fascia that look even better than the Forte, side lines that some call it ‘chopstick’ in the local car accessories shop and a ultimately sharp rear end. As I previously mentioned, all Kia comes with its impressive new engine that based on GDI platform that similar with the upcoming Hyundai Sonata. It offers great fuel economy and high output.
