Minister of Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Ong Ka Chuan said he proposed the review period on every 15 days instead of every month on the fuel prices. The decision was made during a Cabinet meeting on Friday as well. But he did not say when this would start.
He added that, the Government is able to further reduce fuel prices if global oil prices continued to drop. “Rest assured, however, petrol prices would never exceed RM2.70 a litre if global oil prices increase again,” he said. In a word, he mean that the government will simply increase the amount subsidised to keep it at a max of RM2.70.
Hence, enjoy the fuel price on every 15 days first and wish the global oil crisis will over before this Christmas.
